Biography
Dr. Zhian Huang is currently an Assistant Professor at the City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan). He serves as the Program Coordinator of Data Science, Deputy Director of the Dongguan Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence and Security, and an Executive Committee Member of the CCF Dongguan Chapter. He is a Senior Member of both IEEE and CCF. In addition, Dr. Huang serves as an Associate Editor for top-tier international journals, including IEEE TNNLS (CAS Q1 TOP) and IEEE TCDS (JCR Q1). He has been recognized as a Provincial Youth Talent, a Dongguan Distinguished Talent, and a recipient of the Funding Program for Returned High-Level Talents by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China. Dr. Huang received his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. Kay Chen Tan (IEEE Fellow). In recent years, he has published over 60 papers in top-tier international journals and conferences, including IEEE TPAMI, TMI, TNNLS, TCYB, TBME, TEVC, TETCI, JBHI, Medical Image Analysis, Genome Biology, BMC Biology, PLoS CB, BIB, Bioinformatics, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICLR, ACM MM, and AAAI. Among these, he/she has authored over 30 SCI-indexed papers as the first or corresponding author (including co-first/co-corresponding). His/Her publications include more than 15 papers in CAS Q1 TOP journals, with over 2,000 total citations on Google Scholar. Dr. Huang holds four invention patent applications. He is the Principal Investigator (PI) for multiple research grants, including the General Program (2025) and Youth Program (2022) of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as provincial key and general programs. Furthermore, he serves as a reviewer for over 20 renowned academic journals and conferences.
